Pros and cons
Pros
- Entry is soft: the Alkanatur Drops Pitcher starts at €77.77, and the site median is €96.46.
- Refills are cheap: an Alkanatur Drops cartridge runs €24.95, and cartridge price ranks 8 of 50.
- Backing is clear: a warranty of 3 years, and support on email, phone and help centre.
- Testing is named: compliance for the Alkanatur Drops and ClearDrops pitchers and filters, analysed at the Oliver Rodes laboratory, with BPA, ESBO and phthalate free plastics and health safety certificates from the Polish National Institute of Public Health.
- Format fits small homes: Alkanatur is a jug, where Waterdrop (EU) and Culligan Consumer Products both run reverse osmosis.
Cons
- The running figure of €99.80 a year sits above the site median of €80.67, because the cartridge only covers 400 litres.
- Installation is required, so setup is more involved than the jug format suggests.
- Support is limited to email, phone and help centre.
Who it suits
- Households in Spain, PT and FR that want a jug setup rather than a plumbed system.
- Renters who need a filter they can carry between homes and store away.
- Shoppers who read cartridge price and cartridge life before buying, since refills are cheap but short here.
Who should look elsewhere
- Buyers after certified contaminant removal, since the Drops filter lists PFAS and lead reduction as no, where Waterdrop (EU) uses reverse osmosis.
- Shoppers after a fixed tap mounted unit, who should look at Culligan Consumer Products with reverse osmosis or IBBL with countertop.
- Budget first households chasing the lowest refill year, since at €99.80 a year Alkanatur sits above the site median of €80.67.
What it does well
The Alkanatur Drops cartridge covers 400 litres, which keeps the buying decision simple: this is a jug that gets refilled regularly rather than a unit that is serviced rarely. Households with several daily drinkers will change that cartridge repeatedly, which is the trade-off to weigh against the low price per refill. A warranty of 3 years is the strongest commitment here and covers the parts buyers expect covered. Installation is required, so plan for setup rather than pouring straight from the box. On the claim that drives most tap water buyers, PFAS and lead reduction is listed as no, and that is where a jug of this kind gives ground to a reverse osmosis system.
Where it sits among rivals
Ranks tell a mixed story. Cartridge life sits at 21 of 26, so short runs are the weak side. Cartridge price turns that around at 8 of 50, which matters because this is the number buyers meet again and again. Annual filter cost lands at 27 of 46, and entry price at 19 of 52. Read together, the pattern is a low outlay and a low refill, offset by a cartridge that needs changing sooner than most.
Pricing
Price comes in two parts here. The Alkanatur Drops Pitcher is €77.77 at the point of purchase, and the Alkanatur Drops replacement cartridge is €24.95 every time a filter is needed, which adds up to €99.80 a year for the Alkanatur Drops filter. Readers who weigh entry against renewal should keep the two apart: the Alkanatur Drops Pitcher figure is the outlay made at buying, while the Alkanatur Drops cartridge figures repeat for as long as the jug is in use. The cartridge price is low enough to make that repeat spend easy to absorb, and the annual figure is the one to check against other jugs.
Who runs it
Alkanatur is run by ALKANATUR DROPS SLU, based in Spain and founded in 2016. Buyers get a named legal entity on the paperwork, which is the first stop for checking a filtration claim. Support runs on email, phone and help centre, covering written contact, a phone line and a help centre, so a cartridge question has a direct route as well as a self service option. Terms, warranty and returns all sit with the same company, which keeps any claim in single hands.

Frequently asked questions
How much does an Alkanatur water filter cost to buy?+
The Alkanatur Drops Pitcher is priced at €77.77. The site median across the brands compared is €96.46, so the entry point sits below the middle of the category. Buyers should plan for a single purchase up front and a separate refill bill after that.
What does it cost to keep an Alkanatur filter running?+
A replacement cartridge for the Alkanatur Drops costs €24.95, and the running cost works out to €99.80 a year for the filter. The site median annual figure is €80.67, so yearly spend sits a little above the middle of the category.
How long does an Alkanatur cartridge last?+
The Alkanatur Drops cartridge covers 400 litres. The site median is 2,512.5 litres, so this is a short life next to the category. Households that drink a lot of filtered water will replace cartridges more often than most buyers, which is why the annual figure is worth checking.
Is the Alkanatur Drops filter certified?+
The Alkanatur Drops and ClearDrops pitchers and filters carry test compliance, analysed at the Oliver Rodes laboratory. The range also claims BPA, ESBO and phthalate free plastics, food contact and plastic migration certificates, plus health safety certificates from the Polish National Institute of Public Health.
Does the Alkanatur Drops filter reduce PFAS and lead?+
No. PFAS and lead reduction is listed as no for the Alkanatur Drops filter, so it is not a choice for buyers whose priority is certified removal of those contaminants. Buyers focused there should compare a reverse osmosis system such as Waterdrop (EU), which runs reverse osmosis.
Does the Alkanatur jug need installing?+
Installation is required, so plan for a little setup rather than pouring straight from the box. That is worth flagging against the jug format, where buyers often expect nothing more than rinsing a cartridge. Support is on hand through email, phone and help centre if the setup steps are unclear.
How long is the Alkanatur warranty?+
The Alkanatur warranty runs 3 years. That sits well above the short commitments common to kitchen jugs and is backed by a named legal entity, ALKANATUR DROPS SLU, registered in Spain. Keep the order details with the certificate, since claims are handled by that company.
How do I get help from Alkanatur?+
Support runs on email, phone and help centre, so there is a written route, a phone line and a help centre rather than chat alone. The same sales terms carry the warranty of 3 years, which keeps support and cover in a single document. Buyers can also check the range, from the Drops and ClearDrops pitchers to a shower filter and a reverse osmosis system.
