What is Wattage?

In short

Wattage is how much power an appliance pulls from the socket, and brands state it in watts.

Wattage is the power an appliance draws from your socket, so a higher figure usually means faster heating or brewing and a heavier load on the circuit. The brands here sit well apart. Beko's air fryers span 2,000 to 2,400, the widest range in the group, while Bosch Hausgeräte lists the highest single figure at 2,800. Bosch sits in the middle at 1,800, 1st In Coffee's Jura model draws 1,500, and Arno's blender is lower still at 1,400. Higher wattage is not better on its own, but it is a fair proxy for speed.
