What is Local storage?

In short

Local storage means a camera saves video on a device inside your home instead of sending every clip to the cloud.

Local storage means your camera keeps recordings on a device inside the house, such as a memory card or a small hub, rather than uploading every clip to the cloud. Recording carries on if your broadband drops, and the footage stays in your own hands. Abode does not offer local storage. Ajax Systems, Alder, AlfredCamera and Annke all do, so their cameras can keep saving clips on a device you control. Local storage also means no storage subscription, though check whether a card is sold with the camera.
