What is Obstacle avoidance?
In short
Obstacle avoidance is how a robot vacuum detects and steers around things on the floor, from cables to pet mess.
Obstacle avoidance is the sensing that lets a robot vacuum spot objects in its path and steer around them instead of driving over them. Bosch lists camera AI for its cleaning robot, while Bosch Hausgeräte lists structured light for a model in another market. AirCraft Home and Beko both list none, so you should expect the machine to find its own way round clutter. Trade-off: without avoidance you may need to clear the floor first.
