Our verdict on each
Dr.Prepare
Dr.Prepare suits US buyers on a budget who want purifier, dehumidifier and fan products from a single seller, with entry pricing of $19.99 that ranks 2 of 76 brands. Warranty cover of 1 year and email-led support keep it a value pick rather than a long term choice.
The Legacy Companies
The Legacy Companies suits US and Canadian buyers after a kitchen range sold with a spare parts shop, with prices from $134.99. The trade-offs are the short 1 year warranty and support limited to chat and help centre, against a catalogue that runs to $549.99.

Pros and cons
Dr.Prepare
Pros
- Entry pricing of $19.99 ranks 2 of 76 brands on starting price, so the floor is hard to undercut.
- A single seller covers purifier, dehumidifier and fan, and the reference range pairs HEPA purifier models with a home dehumidifier.
- The HEPA purifier with pet mode pairs 300 m³/h of clean air delivery with rated coverage of 278.7 m² and a noise floor of 20 dB.
Cons
- Warranty cover on the purifier line is 1 year, which is short for a machine expected to run for years.
- Support runs on email and help centre only, so anyone with a fault will be writing in rather than calling.
- Clean air delivery of 300 m³/h ranks 32 of 47 brands, well below the mid-range purifiers here.
The Legacy Companies
Pros
- A spare parts shop is part of the offer, and such shops are widespread across the brands on this site (96.2%).
- Support covers chat and help centre, and a help centre is among the most common support channels listed here (90.1%).
- The catalogue spans $109.99 to $549.99, so buyers on a small budget and buyers after a premium machine are both served.
Cons
- Warranty cover runs 1 year, which ranks 15 of 30 in the warranty comparison on this site.
- Support runs on chat and help centre only, so there is no phone line for buyers who prefer to talk.
- Product types cover fridge, where Hoover lists cooker, dishwasher and dryer across the big kitchen categories.
Who each suits
Dr.Prepare
Who it suits
- US households wanting a purifier or dehumidifier at a low entry price
- Renters and new buyers who will swap filters rather than run a machine for years
- Shoppers who want a single seller for purifier, dehumidifier and fan products
Who should look elsewhere
- Shoppers who want a humidifier in the same basket, since Vornado Air lists purifier, humidifier and fan and Dr.Prepare does not
- Buyers who need a phone line, since Dr.Prepare support runs on email and help centre only
- Buyers after a purifier only specialist, since Clarifion lists purifier while Dr.Prepare spreads across purifier, dehumidifier and fan
The Legacy Companies
Who it suits
- Buyers in CA and US who want a spare parts shop for repairs after the warranty ends.
- Anyone weighing budget against premium, with the catalogue running $109.99 to $549.99.
- Shoppers happy with written answers, since support is listed as chat and help centre.
Who should look elsewhere
- Whole-kitchen buyers: Hoover covers cooker, dishwasher and dryer, well beyond the fridge listed here.
- Shoppers outside CA and US, who should check delivery terms with Exquisit or Bauknecht before assuming this store serves their address.
- Buyers who weigh the guarantee heavily, since cover here runs 1 year; the same check is worth making against Bauknecht and Exquisit before deciding.

Questions about each
Dr.Prepare
How much does a Dr.Prepare air purifier cost?+
Purifiers start at $19.99. That entry point ranks 2 of 76 brands compared on starting price, which makes Dr.Prepare among the cheapest routes into a HEPA purifier. The reference range covers several HEPA purifier models, including a pet mode variant for homes with pets.
What warranty comes with a Dr.Prepare purifier?+
Warranty cover on the purifier line is 1 year. That is short next to the multi-year terms offered on some premium machines, so buyers who plan to run a purifier for a long stretch should assume a replacement cost outside the warranty period.
The Legacy Companies
What does the range cost at the entry point?+
The catalogue opens at $109.99, with $134.99 given as the starting price and $549.99 at the top. The gap between the lowest and the highest model is the number to weigh, because buyers often assume the entry figure covers the whole range.
Which countries does it ship to?+
Shipping is listed for CA and US, and the headquarters sit in the United States. The footprint is therefore regional, so buyers in another country would need to confirm delivery before ordering rather than assume the shop serves their address.
